After the amazing experience of our first Snowboard Expedition to the East Coast of Greenland 2 years ago it was obviously only a matter of time before we'd have to go back.

For 2011 we are changing the location of our trip to explore, climb and ride the peaks of the remote region of Liverpool Land some 800km further North of our last trip location and far within the Artic Circle at 71 degrees N. Liverpool Land is a coastal region made up of a deep frozen Fjords and Glaciated peaks reaching up from sea level to around 1400m in altitude.

The terrain looks very snowboard friendly with big long glacier runs, steep couloirs and faces and majestic peaks as far as the eye can see. From our Base camp we will be able to acces an area simillar in size to the whole of the Mont Blanc massif!

An area as exciting and interesting as the whole of the Mont Blanc massif and no one else there, imagine that!

Our journey begins on the 22nd with an overnight stay in Rykejavik, Iceland (return flights to Iceland are not included).

The following morning, the 23rd April we then fly ontto Greenland lanind at the remote Constable point airstrip some 45km from the nearest settlement of Scoresbysund.

After a night here at Constable point, to sort out equipment, we will then journey by Snow mobile heading North into the remote mountains of the Liverpool land peninsula. With no fixed abode we will scout out a suitable area in which to locate our Base camp. The area is huge and the possibilities endless!

We will build our base camp, which will be comprised of a communal mess tent and satelite sleeping tents. We will build snow shelters and walls around the tents and generaly build what will be our home for the next 10 nights.

We will spend the next 8 days using splitboards touring, hiking, riding, climbing and exploring the area and peaks of the Liverpool land area, many of these peaks haven't been snowboarded down. At this time of year this area recieves 24 hour sunlight, the days are therefore long and the possibilities are endless.

After 10 days on our own we will begin the journey back to civilisation, breaking down the camp and returning with Snow mobiles back to Constable point from where on the 4th of May we will make the return trip back to Iceland.

This is the real deal and your chance to break away from the norm and enter the World of true Arctic Snowboard Adventure and Winter exploration.
