The BC Freeride Splitboard 'Touring' course was an exciting and highly successful NEW addition for 2011 which saw us exploring the col du Grand St Bernard area and also an epic voyage over the Col du Chardonnet to the Trient refuge for an epic descent of the Glacier des Grand in perfect powder.

Designed around out regular BC Freeride course, the BC Splitboard 'Touring' course introduces you to the use of a Splitboard in order to access the backcountry treasures found amongst the highest peaks of the Chamonix valley and the surrounding massif's.

After a warm up day in the peaks surrounding the Chamonix Valley the plan is to head out for some Hut to Peak to Hut touring in one of the many great Touring areas within easy access of Chamonix such as the Grd St Bernard area, the Grd Paradiso area or where ever the good conditions take us!

Proudly sponsored by 'JONES SNOWBOARDS' this NEW Splitboard 'Touring' course introduces you to the JONES 'SOLUTION' Splitboard and opens up the amazing possibilities that modern day Splitboarding offers over conventional Snowshoe touring.

In recent years Splitboarding has come along way. New board technology and a whole new binding interface has suddenly brought Splitboarding into the modern era and has openned the doors to a whole new vision of what is now possible on a Snowboard within the Backcountry arena.
I climbed as much as possible during my final years of school and pushed my grade up to a very reasonable standard whilst meeting and climbing with most of my UK climbing hero’s along the way. John, became one of Britain’s leading climbers and is still today a prominent figure in UK climbing history.
Following in the skinning tracks of the likes of Big Mountain rider 'Jeremy Jones' and his 'Deeper' project this NEW course brings you the 'Solution' and guides you further out into the world of the serious Backcountry Freerider than ever before.

With the emphasis, as always on mountain safety, this Course will also help you further increase your awareness for the high mountains and develop your ability and confidence to tour, climb and ride amongst the high peaks.

Designed for those that have caught the Backcountry bug on the BC Intro course and now want to take the next step, the aim of this course is to get out and ride the best conditions and the biggest descents on offer whilst exploring a new vision of what is possible in Backcountry Snowboarding!

For those with a creative vision of the future!
