The 2010 winter season was all about inspiring and spreading our passion for the Fine Art of riding mountains and following our commitment in the endless search for the ultimate ride. We introduced a new format, delivered some new courses and ran at 100% capacity from December through to May.
So, after an amazing winter 2010 we are now proud to announce our new program for 2011.
Once again, in order to concentrate on giving you the best on the mountain experience possible we will run only one course per week at a maximum ratio of 1 to 6. As always, our fast paced Advanced Backcountry courses run at the reduced ratio of 1 to 3 and our Mont Blanc ascent at a 1 to 2 ratio.
We have also reduced our courses to 5 days, running Monday to Friday, to give you more flexibility with your travel arrangements, the option for you to warm up in advance and to avoid the fatigue levels that many suffered whilst following our previous 6 day schedule. Our 3 day courses remain unchanged.
The 2011 season sees us forming an exciting new partnership with Freeride legend Jeremy Jones’s new brand ‘Jones Snowboards’. With a freeride philosophy and outlook to match our own, this partnership promises great things for the future and the development of our New ‘ Backcountry Splitboard Courses’ and ‘ Backcountry Splitboard touring weeks’ come as a direct result or this alliance.
Our courses follow a detailed progression that runs from our ‘Technical clinics’, perfecting snowboard technique from Piste to Off-piste. Our ‘ Off-piste Technical clinics’, aimed at Off piste perfection through to easy access Backcountry riding. Followed by our extensive Backcountry program which then takes you ‘beyond technique’, starting out with our popular ‘Backcountry Intro’ course which on completion opens the doors to the rest of our Backcountry courses.
We conclude our 2011 season with our specialist Snowboard Expedition to ‘Greenland’. Heading further North than our previous trip to explore the Liverpool land peninsular we will once again venture into the unknown in search of virgin peaks and exciting un-ridded descents.
A fitting and exciting end to what promises to be another great and inspirational winter season!
